After a period of workplace change, most organisations have now arrived at a happy medium – a hybrid workplace where employees spend two to three days in the office and the remainder of the week working remotely. This altered work environment has ushered in changes – both in terms of IT and AV, as well as general layout and furniture.

Bechtle Ireland’s AV Day, which will take place at the company’s Dublin office in Sandyford Business District on 17 September will showcase the latest technology and AV solutions for the hybrid workplace, says Joe Lanigan, head of AV at Bechtle Ireland.

“We have hosted similar AV focused events over the past two years. This year we’ve expanded our product portfolio and these new solutions will all be on show at the event, from our 17 vendors including Poly, Neat, Barco, Epson, Logitech, Jabra, Lenovo, Crestron, Sony, Targus, Triple Play, Microsoft, Samsung, SIG Workplace, Shure, Lightware and Qolcom.”

There will also be expert speakers on the day including Graham Walsh, an experienced Microsoft most valuable professional (MVP), and JP Rust from SIG Workplace. “In our world, Graham is like a superstar,” says Lanigan. “He will share his incredible knowledge of all things Microsoft Teams, and JP will talk about the future of office design and furniture, particularly when it comes to building what we’re calling the community-based office.”

The beauty of events like these, says Lanigan, is how much attendees take away from the day, whether it’s information on new energy-efficient displays and built-in AI functionality on meeting room cameras, or insights into the most effective office design for hybrid working, and opportunities to learn from their peers and experts.

“Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions to key speakers like Graham or JP, and in that way these events often turn into mini networking events. People start probing the speakers with questions, which leads to broader discussions among attendees, allowing them to share experiences and insights. This interactive environment encourages networking and knowledge sharing among participants,” says Lanigan.

A huge factor influencing the event this year will be AI. Attendees will hear how AI is being incorporated into the various solutions on show, and Graham Walsh’s keynote speech will also focus AI’s role in the hybrid workplace, particularly when it comes to Microsoft Teams with Copilot.

“Graham will bring AI’s role across on a human level, showcasing how users can get the most from it when using Teams (including Copilot), including for note taking, transcription and translation. And we’ll see how the other exhibitors on the day are bringing AI into their latest technology and kit. It’ll be a large part of the conversation and attendees will come away with a fresh understanding of where they can apply AI.”

At the event, attendees will also get a glimpse of what the future of the office could look like at Bechtle Ireland’s modern office space with its 20-seat boardroom, a 40-person presentation area, private pods, open-plan workstations for 40, and fully integrated AV setups throughout.

Bechtle Ireland AV Day 2025 takes place on 17 September from 9am to 5pm at the Bechtle Ireland offices in Sandyford Business District. Register for the event here
