With all the Star Wars hype going on JJ Abrams was able to keep this pseudosequel to his monster movie Cloverfield handly under the radar. Described as a ‘blood relative’ to the original rather than a direct sequel, here we have three people stuck in a bunker while some kind of disaster rages above. Hilarity does not ensue. Opening in March.
David Bowie criticises MTV for not playing videos by black artists
This vintage clip from MTV shows the late rock icon discussing the lack of black artists being shown on the station. Of course times have moved on. Now the station doesn’t show any artists at all. Also worth watching is Jimmy Fallon’s tribute to the great man. ()
