Gyration’s Ultramouse cordless mouse can be used on or off the desktop and can deliver a range of 7.62m, compared with many other cordless mice whose ranges are only 1.52m. It also reports data at 80Hz as compared to other products which transmit between 30 and 50Hz.
Ultra Mouse comes with a rechargeable battery and desktop charger. A mobile keyboard is included in the Ultra Cordless Optical Suite, which has a 7.62m range and Internet/Multimedia hot keys.
Gyration has also announced a PC and presentation controller, the Ultra Professional Optical Mouse Suite. The Ultra Professional employs precise ‘in-air’ cursor control, which allows users to control PowerPoint presentations or any Windows or Mac application from anywhere in the room using hand gestures.
Ultra Professional also works on the desktop with optical mouse technology. Included with Ultra Professional is GyroTools special effects software for Windows, which allows users to add effects to their presentation on the fly. It has a generous 30m range and no line-of-sight limitations.
