Client becomes master BMC distributor

BMC Software has appointed Client Solutions, part of Horizon’s
Technology Group, as a new Master Distributor to market and support BMC Software’s products.

Alan Smith, Vice President, UK Region, BMC Software, said: ‘Client
Solutions has successfully distributed Remedy, a BMC Software company, solutions to the Irish market for many years. This agreement now brings together under one delivery organisation, the key elements of BMC Software’s Business Service Management strategy.’

Business Service Management (BSM) is BMC Software’s approach for enabling companies to manage their IT infrastructure and services from a business perspective.

Brendan O’Reilly, BMC Software’s former Irish Country Manager, will
leave BMC Software to head up Clients Solutions’ newly formed Business Service Management business unit that will incorporate the existing Remedy business. The BMC Software organisation in Ireland, which has 90 people supporting manufacturing, distribution, tele-services and customer care services, will continue as before.
