Radisson SAS St. Helen’s Hotel in Dublin has adopted Intelligo Software’s VIP HR and Payroll Manager in a bid to combine HR and payroll functions into one system.

According to the hotel, which employs approximately 155 people, a key factor in implementing a new system was the desire to do away with time consuming laborious tasks between both the payroll and personnel departments, and free up time to take care of more important strategic HR and payroll tasks.

‘The use of a shared database for both payroll and personnel, while still allowing the ability to hold both payroll and personnel information confidentially with security access, was an outstanding feature,’ said Anthony Murray, IT and purchasing manager. ‘The dynamic link between the two has allowed us to centralise the management of a whole range of information from salary history, pension details, to career and training records – all within one system. We can answer all employee and manager queries much quicker.’

According to Padraig Gill of Intelligo Software, the marketplace demand for a combined HR and payroll software is growing fast throughout Ireland, due to the rise in ’employee-friendly’ legislation and HR and payroll departments looking to take away from double entry.
