Version 6.70 of SoftCo Enterprise is the latest release of the company’s central information repository and workflow engine.
The software offers a single, integrated architecture for managing and processing electronic and paper documents.
Version 6.70 is the third release of the product in the space of nine months. It has a completely new backup client that can run continuously during backup, a feature which eliminates downtime.
The new backup client works with standard tape devices, can backup index and archive data and has special features to backup and restore to and from optical disks.
Also included in the new release is a new version of SoftCo Web with desktop e-mail client integration and document index linking. The capture suite (formally known as Matrix) is being relaunched with a new look and feel. It has new features for monitoring and tracking throughput and transferring from remote sites via FTP.
Version 6.70 of the 32bit enterprise windows clients will support the Windows XP operating system.
