Mobile services provider Zamano has selected IT Force to overhaul its internal IT infrastructure and to provide ongoing managed support. IT Force is an independent consulting and technical services company.
Zamano CTO Enda Farrell said the fast growing company’s original internal IT infrastructure had reached the end of its system life. “We needed a solution and support that would meet our ambitious business growth strategy.”
Zamano enables its business partners to deliver and bill for mobile content using a range of technologies and channels including 3G Video, SMS, MMS, WAP and IVR.
“At Zamano we consider IT Force as an extension of our own technical team, filling critical gaps at critical times. In addition, having the ability to outsource our internal IT requirements has allowed us to scale and concentrate on our core business,” said Farrell.
The new internal IT infrastructure specified and implemented by IT Force included file and domain server upgrades, migration of corporate data, installation of active and passive firewall device methodology, server ghosting, secure remote access for mobile and home users and a full disaster recovery solution.
IT Force operations director Joe Molloy said security was a key issue for Zamano due to
the requirement for remote access for mobile and home users. “We provided resilience and redundancy through a backup firewall device configured in an Active/Passive methodology.”
