Online retailer Zalando has once again delivered profitable growth in the third quarter. Gross merchandise volume (GMV) rose by 21.6% to €4.2 billion, while revenue increased by 26.5% to €3 billion. Growth was mainly driven by the addition of the fashion platform About You, with which Zalando completed its strategic merger earlier this year.

Adjusted EBIT came in at €96 million, a slight increase compared to €93 million a year earlier. On a pro-forma basis – where About You’s figures are included as if the merger had already taken place – GMV grew by 6.7% and revenue by 7.5%. Both Zalando and About You contributed to this growth.

Within the business-to-consumer (B2C) segment, Zalando is placing greater emphasis on the sports category. The company announced it will become a main partner of the German Football Association (DFB), a partnership aimed at further increasing the brand’s visibility.

Progress was also made in the business-to-business (B2B) segment. Zalando, for example, expanded its collaboration with British retailer Marks & Spencer, thereby strengthening its position as a platform partner for European fashion brands.

Additionally, Zalando announced that Anna Dimitrova will take up the role of chief financial officer (CFO) as of 1 January 2026.

Based on its strong performance in the first nine months of the year, the company has confirmed its annual outlook for 2025. Zalando continues to focus on its ecosystem strategy, aimed at sustainable and profitable growth for both consumers and partners.
