U.S. Robotics’ Wireless Access PCI Adapter connects to networks without cables at speeds up to 22Mbit/s. It lets users start accessing the Internet from almost anywhere—go wireless and extend the reach of the Internet throughout the home or office.
Its built-in security features protect against hackers and the adapter also has a detachable antenna.
The U.S. Robotics range of wireless networking products is claimed to provide double the transmission speed, greater range, and better security than exisiting 11Mbit/s wireless products, which is the current speed most commonly used.
The product range is backward compatible with all 11Mbit/s 802.11b wireless devices.
