Visor, an internet-based accounting solutions firm located at UCD’s technology transfer centre, NovaUCD, has landed €1 million in start-up investment funding.
The funding comes from Enterprise Ireland and from private backers.
The company is using the funds to launch AccountsIQ, Visor’s low-cost online accounting and management reporting platform for small and medium businesses.
AccountsIQ is designed for the growing Business Process Outsource (BPO) market, providing them with the type of business reporting and analysis previously available only to large companies. The system saves time and money by helping accountants collaborate with their clients any time and anywhere via the internet. Business owners and managers do not need to interpret accounts because the service provides tem with an online ‘digital dashboard’ with customised analysis of their monthly accounts, statistics and other key business drivers.
Visor was established in 2004 by Tony Connolly, formerly a Farrell Grant Sparks partner, and internet entrepreneur Eddie Murphy to bring ‘big company’ accounting and business analysis solutions to the SME community.
