Viatel partners with Highlight to deliver single-pane-of-glass network observability
Viatel Technology Group has announced a strategic partnership with London-based Highlight to deploy the Cisco Innovation Global Award-winning Highlight Service Observability Platform.
As part of the rollout, Viatel will use Highlight to streamline monitoring for its Cisco Meraki SD-WAN and Orion Autofailover services. The move comes as the company consolidates its service management tooling following its acquisition strategy over the past five years, which resulted in the use of multiple systems by separate technology teams. Once the deployment is complete, more than 100 Viatel engineers will use the Highlight platform to manage network performance more efficiently and cohesively.
In addition to internal adoption, Viatel will embed Highlight within its managed service offerings, providing customers with powerful graphical dashboards and automated reporting tools. This initiative underscores Viatel’s ongoing commitment to increasing customer satisfaction and delivering a more seamless and rewarding experience for their customers. It will also enhance transparency and deliver clear insights into network health and service performance.
Conor Healy, customer success manager at Viatel (pictured), said: “I’ve been aware of the Highlight platform for a number of years and have always been impressed by its ability to deliver unified network observability at scale. Integrating it into our solutions is a major step forward for Viatel. With Highlight, we gain visibility across all networks and technology services, enabling faster response times and proactive management.
“The platform’s single-pane-of-glass approach enables our network operations and support teams to quickly identify and address issues. The fact that Highlight is a looking-glass system means our engineers can safely investigate without affecting live services.”
He added: “Highlight’s automated reporting capabilities drastically reduce the time spent gathering and analysing data from disparate tools. This will lead to more frequent, focused and transparent reviews with our customers.
“As many customers reduce their on-site IT presence, Highlight provides them with intuitive graphical tools that offer full visibility into the services they receive. This will build trust, strengthen relationships and support more constructive conversations, ensuring there are no surprises when it comes time for contract renewals.”
The partnership underlines Viatel’s continued investment in innovation and customer-centric solutions, reinforcing its position as a market leader in managed connectivity and digital transformation.
