Vaio with va-va-voom

Life

If you’ve got techno-lust and like the idea of a notebook so small you could lose it in your backpack, the Sony Vaio VGN-X505VP notebook is right up your street.

It’s quite possibly the smallest notebook we’ve ever seen. The feather-weight notebook weighs in at 850g and is mere 9.7mm thick at its front edge. Don’t let the thinness of the notebook fool you, however; it runs Windows XP and it’s designed to replace your bulky desktop replacement that usually weighs you down.

Of course, there are some sacrifices to be made to get such as thin profile — the optical drive is external, and the wireless networking is taken care of by a PC card. But having seen the X505, we can only say that it’s definitely worth it.

The X505 comes with its own set of accessories to make sure your notebook is every bit as stylish as you paid for, including a slip cover to make sure your new investment is protected from scratches.
