Sony is releasing a new laptop series to its VAIO line called the NW, designed for multimedia and ease of use.

Sporting a 15.5″, 16:9, black high definition LCD display, the VAIO NW comes outfitted for entertainment. An HDMI output and a number of integrated programs make personal editing possible, like Picture Motion Browser, VAIO Movie Story, and VAIO Music Box.

The screen can then be turned off to conserve energy, and the body is made from recycled or recyclable materials and its power consumption has earned the top Energy Star 5.0 rating.

Rather than boot up the entire computer to use the Internet, the VAIO NW also comes with a button on the keyboard for “WEB”.
