Data Edge, the application and network performance management company, has been
awarded Irish distributor rights to sell Symmetricom’s portfolio of products and services.
Symmetricom is known for its time and frequency technologies that accelerate the deployment of next generation networks and enable the management of these systems, which are used by telecommunications providers.

Symmetricom says its synchronisation and timing solutions play a key role in maximising network efficiency and quality of service for the end-user. This is critical for service providers, given the explosion of demanding IP-enabled services such as voice over IP, triple play, streaming video and IPTV.

Data Edge, as a value added reseller, will implement, support and manage the complete rollout of synchronisation systems for carriers and enterprise, providing Symmetricom with an existing gateway to product sales, maintenance contracts, synchronisation audits and training.
Data Edge technical director Paul Phelan commented: “This partnership with Symmetricom will help us to spearhead improvements in traditional and next-generation communications systems throughout Ireland.”
