Telephony two-in-one from Trust

Life

16 January 2006

This device is connected and powered via USB and looks and works like a normal phone, which makes it an ideal alternative for a headset. The device can be used with the leading Voice-over-IP application Skype, thanks to the enclosed software. Also calls to normal phones are possible, at low rates, for example using Skype-out. A clear LCD display provides status information such as date, time and dialed number, making it unnecessary to use the PC’s screen and ready to use it anywhere in the house. Controls for dialing, call pick up, call hang up and scroll are present, as well as phone status LED indicators. The product has two extra functions; it can also be used as a numeric keypad or a microphone for recording sounds on the PC. The phone comes with a USB extension cable of 100 cm to increase the total operation range to 250 cm and make it possible to make phone calls in a big radius around the PC or notebook.

With the automatic echo cancellation and noise reduction technology, the user is ensured of a clear sound. In the package a multi language user’s guide is included. The device will be available from the middle of March and will retail for around €30.
