We help forward-looking organisations to improve IT maturity and adopt leading practices in IT management, quality assurance and IT governance.  Specifically projects include delivering solutions in the following areas: IT Strategy, Managing IT Cost and Value, IT Sourcing and Service Management, making IT Projects Perform and IT Transaction Services Due Diligence.

The role of the Technology Consultant is to work on these projects, drawing upon previous technology experience to deliver high quality solutions. The role focuses on a broad range of Technology areas, with a strong element of project management required. Ideally the candidate will have previous IT consulting experience, however candidates who have who have worked on large scale transformation projects in industry are also highly desirable.


JOB DESCRIPTION

The Role:

Consultant in Technology Consulting practice. This role involves participating in and delivering on a broad variety of Technology Consulting engagements such as:

• IT Transformation;
• IT Strategy & Architecture;
• Business Intelligence & Analytics;
• Application Delivery (e.g. Financial Systems, Workflow, Document Management);
• IT Infrastructure (e.g. Networking, Active Directory, Collaboration)
• ERP (SAP); and
• Project Management and Project Office.

Responsibilities include:

• Ability to deliver a workstream or produce client ready deliverables under the direction of a Manager/Senior Manager/Director (or relevant Partner)
• Take responsibility for delivering work in line with engagement objectives and budget
• Work as an effective team member during an engagement by communicating relevant issues, requesting feedback and coaching junior team members.
• Liaise onsite with clients to obtain relevant data in order to deliver the engagement
• Research and resolve technical queries from clients or team
• Review the work of junior team members to ensure quality, thoroughness and completion of assignment tasks within agreed time frames
• Ensure Manager/Senior Manager/Director (or relevant Partner) are informed on a regular basis on the progress of the work and relevant issues
• Assist with Business Development activities by providing support on proposals and other initiatives as required
• Develop strong and effective working relationships with clients and team members


Requirements Education / Professional Qualifications:

• A recognised University Degree or equivalent, preferably specialising in Computer Science or Business/Management Information Systems

Experience Required:

• 3-4 years experience in a Big 4 Consulting firm or other similar experience Working on projects such as:
• IT Transformation;
• IT Strategy & Architecture;
• Business Intelligence & Analytics;
• Application Delivery (e.g. Financial Systems, Workflow, Document Mgmt);
• IT Infrastructure (e.g. Networking, Active Directory, Collaboration)
• ERP (SAP); and
• Project Management and Project Office.
