Strencom wins €250,000 RPS contract

Strencom, the managed connectivity and cloud computing provider, has won a contract worth €250,000 to provide RPS Group with a fibre-based network connecting over 500 employees in eight offices across the island of Ireland to each other and to group headquarters in the UK. The deal will enhance RPS’ video conferencing capabilities, a cornerstone of its business operations.

"As environmental consultants, video conferencing is an important factor for us. At RPS Group, we made the decision to reduce our carbon footprint by 5% per annum, forever. The increased use of video conferencing enables us to meet those requirements, as well as other benefits too; the time spent by our employees travelling will be cut significantly, and travel expenses reduced considerably", explained Connie Wiseman, RPS Group IT Manager.

Staff in the Dublin office can share projects with the Galway office across a secure and resilient network, and heavy-duty applications such as video conferencing can be supported simultaneously – something that just not possible or scalable on the traditional leased line network."
