Sony‘s PCG-FR102 Vaio notebook PC is powered by a Mobile AMD Athlon XP 2000+ processor and has a 256Mbyte DDR-SDRAM and 30Gbyte hard disk as standard.

The Windows XP-equipped product has a 14.1in XGA screen, a combined DVD-ROM/CD-RW drive, and a built-in floppy drive.

It comes with a variety of connectivity options, including an I-Link interface for high-speed audio and video transfers, three USB 2.0 ports, a TV-out socket and a 10Base-TX Ethernet port.

The Vaio also supports multimedia applications with Windows Sound System compatibility, integrated stereo speakers, an Nvidia Geforce 420Go graphics card (16Mbyte of RAM) and PictureGear Studio, and Adobe Photoshop Elements software for managing stills.

Other software applications include Adobe Acrobat Reader, Sony’s SonicStage audio software, the MovieShaker video tool and Dvgate suite of video and still image capture software.
