Using TxtPromote software from Cork-based Digibiz, the Lodge and Spa can invite visitors to its Website (www.inchydoneyisland.com) to sign up to a dedicated listing that will allow them to be alerted of special offers, promotions and last minute deals by text message directly to their mobile phone. Lodge and Spa CEO Michael Knox says that this new method of marketing has been successful with over 400 registrations in the first month of operation and yielding 31 confirmed bookings for the dates on offer.
