Irish Broadband, a provider of wireless broadband Internet services, is to double the bandwidth available to the SME sector without increasing costs. Currently, most broadband providers offer services with bandwidths of 512kbit/sec downstream and 128Kbit/sec.

However, Irish Broadband is now providing an entry level offering which gives customers 1Mbit/sec downstream with 1Mbit/sec
upstream at a cost of €45.

The firm has also announced that it has can now offer its services to businesses in Co Wicklow, following the installation of a high-site in Bray. The new high-site will provide coverage in the eastern part of the county including Bray, and extending southwards to Greystones and westwards to Enniskerry.
