Mobile network 3 has announced the launch of MOFILMS, a platform for the delivery of short films to handsets. The new service will be added free-of-charge to the carriers multi-media package Planet 3.
MOFILM represents a global community of filmmakers working in all genres, including content by an Oscar winning scriptwriter as well as content from emerging filmmakers within the MOFILM community around the world. Films typically run for less than five minutes and are designed to work well on smaller format screens.
The service will be funded by advertising in the form of 10 second adverts placed at the beginning and end of the content video stream.
