Toshiba’s Magnia SG20 is a simple, cable-free way to share devices and services or access the Internet-at a competitive price.

The appliance offers secure wireless connectivity and comes with Linux pre-installed. The system runs an Intel Celeron 566MHz processor and has 64Mbyte SDRAM with ECC. It has two hard disk drive bays-2 x 15Gbyte or 2 x 30Gbyte.

It offers fast, easy, cost effective network setup, as the device is up and running in under 30 minutes.

Using an optional Wi-Fi wireless LAN card and pre-installed software, the Magnia SG20 acts as a stand-alone access point to become the heart of a wireless network. This means you can link notebook PCs and access shared information or peripherals from anywhere you choose-in the home or office-without cables.

The unit has a built-in modem for Internet access and a built-in port switch allowing it to support a traditional wired network, acting as a cost-effective hub for up to 8 PCs or more by adding an external hub.
