Amacom has added an 80Gbyte version to the Flip2disk range of portable storage devices. Flip2disks are shock-resistant, pocket-sized hard drives that offer large capacities for day-to-day back up and portable storage. The Flip2disk is ideally suited to users of data-intensive digital multimedia such as film, music and digital photography as well as business and personal data.
With data transfer rates as fast as your internal hard drive, all Flip2disks are compatible with PC and Mac desktop and laptop computers and come bundled with Amacom’s back up and disaster recovery software, ‘FlipBack’. This will perform a complete backup of the internal hard drive, system files and boot sector on a Windows PC. Flip2disks can also be used in conjunction with the Amacom DiskStation — an internal IDE docking station that offers an ideal facility for hot-desking, full disaster recovery and the ability to boot different operating systems on the same computer. Users of desktop PCs can also operate the Flip2disk as their primary drive, allowing them to remove the device when not in use and store in a safe place. With no mains power required, connectivity is through one of Amacom’s Intelligent Interface cables including USB2, PCMCIA 16 & 32 Bit, Firewire, Parallel and IDE.
