The SCO Group, a company that claims to own the original intellectual property of the UNIX kernel, has opened its EMEA Headquarters in Dublin.

The Utah-based firm, which is currently engaged in an intellectual property war with IBM for allegedly releasing proprietary Unix code to the Linux operating system, is planning to expand its technical support, customer care and professional services operations out of the new Dublin HQ.

SCO currently employs 350 people worldwide and will initially take on around 25 employees at its new EMEA headquarters.
