Save or delete

Life

1 April 2005

The latest campaign from Greenpeace is the ‘Save or delete’ campaign, which is trying to save the ancient forests of the world. An animated map shows the forests that have been destroyed and what’s left — a sobering sight. The latest news from the campaign can be found on the site, along with press releases and a hall of fame for celebrities who get involved with the campaign.

Save or Delete is UK-based, and you can lend your support to it by sending an email to Tony Blair calling for the banning of illegally logged timber. You can also download a stencil kit from the site and, as the site says, ‘take your protest to the streets’ (just remember to ask for permission before stencilling someone’s property, or you might find yourself on the wrong side of the law!). Save or Delete has also been featured at club nights around the UK.
