The accounting software vendor formally launched its new partner programme at the annual Sage Reseller Forum which took place recently in Citywest, Dublin.

As Sage Solution Centres, resellers receive the support they need to effectively work with businesses to sell the Sage solution, allowing them to become full-service IT providers for their customers.

John Antunes, general sales manager of Sage Ireland commented: ‘We have constructed a channel strategy that allows solution providers to easily take advantage of this realignment, enabling new, very attractive revenue and growth opportunities’.

As an accredited Sage Solution Centre, resellers will have to demonstrate in-depth industry knowledge and technical expertise to provide consultancy and support before, during and after implementation. A continuous programme of training development provided by Sage will be used to raise the skill levels of an accredited reseller’s staff. Accredited Sage Solution Centres will have the skills to take organisations through the process of upgrading or purchasing a new financial, distribution, manufacturing or service system. It is their role to combine the right mix of Sage products and services to deliver a complete system that meets the customer’s requirements.

Solution Centres will work on-site with customers to evaluate needs, recommend the most appropriate products, configure the system and any associated applications, ensuring integration with existing systems. The Solution Centre will also manage the installation and provide training and after-sales support.

‘Sage Solution Centres will be the elite resellers of our network – a status which all our dealers are working toward and one which is not bestowed lightly,’ said Antunes. ‘A Sage Solutions Centre knows all there is to know about Sage software and how to build on this knowledge and best utilise this product range in a number of vertical markets.’

To become a Sage Solution Centre, resellers must undergo extensive accreditation examinations, prove they have access to the tools, technical support, marketing support and vertical domain knowledge needed to succeed and to extend the reach of Sage services into new markets and opportunities.
