Sage launches ACT! Professional for the web

Sage has launched ACT! Professional for Web which it says will provide users with “instant access” to centralised customer information over the Internet from any location.

The web-based solution operates like the Windows version of ACT! Professional and was developed to work either as a standalone product, or in conjunction with an existing ACT! Professional database.
Unlike hosted solutions, the data is held on a company’s server, behind the firewall, which means that data is constantly safe and secure, Sage said.

David Larkin, General Manager, CRM Solutions at Sage, said Act! already has 3 million customers.
“ACT! Professional for Web is a customer-hosted solution that enables users to access detailed contact and customer information, manage team calendars and activities, capture all customer communications, track opportunities through the sales process and report on overall team effectiveness,” David said.

“This solution allows remote, travelling and office-based users to access, update and share centralised data in real time through a web browser, with no user setup required and without the need for synchronization,” he added.
