One in three black & white multi-functional devices (MFDs) purchased in the UK during the first half of 2007 were manufactured by Ricoh, according to a report from research group Infosource.
In the black and white MFD market, Infosource’s interim report shows that Ricoh increased itsUK market share by three per cent to 33 per cent over 2006, firmly positioning it as the market-leading manufacturer in the UK. It also retained its status as the second largest manufacturer in Ireland where it now has 15.7 per cent of the market, the report said.
Infosource said that Ricoh had manufactured almost half (49%) of all colour capable multifunction devices bought in the UK and Ireland during the same period.
“The report reflects Ricoh’s continued investment in developing a huge range of multi-functional devices designed for businesses of all shapes and sizes from the home office to professional print environment,” said Chas Moloney, director of marketing for Ricoh UK and Ireland. “We’re extremely pleased to have not only retained, but strengthened our leading position.”
