Requiem of Hell

Life

1 April 2005

Requiem of Hell is based on a simple story. A hero, Troy, has taken on the very fires of hell and emerged victorious. The only problem? The fires were holding Dalu, the most evil fiend in existence, prisoner and thanks to Troy’s good deed, he’s free to terrorise the world in an improved, super strength formula. On top of that, he’s awakened the Dragon Tree — a nifty power source for Hell.

You can play as Troy or the sorceress Linda. Regardless of which character you choose, the idea is to hack, slash and disembowel your way through the world, and keep your eye on the main prize — defeating Dalu.

The character’s skills build up as you go, and you can pick up weapons and magic on your journey. The N-Gage’s small screen may not blow you away, but the graphics are good enough to keep you playing, with some great cut scenes in between levels.

One of the advantages of the N-Gage and its games is the Bluetooth multiplayer mode; Requiem of Hell is no exception, as you can team up with a friend and hack and slash your way around the worlds to your heart’s content.

There’s some replay value to this game too, as two of the worlds have random maps.
