MultiTech’s latest voice over IP (VOIP) gateways can connect remote office telephone systems over a company’s existing router network.

Organisations do not need to change or modify their existing routers or their PBX systems. The MultiVOIPs are designed to eliminate customer costs on inter-office phone calls by using their existing data WAN or Internet VPN.

The systems come in 1, 2, 4, 8 voice channel versions and 30 channel single or dual digital E1/PRI versions. The latest MultiVOIP family have enhanced incoming/outgoing phonebook software for improved desk-to-desk dialling between offices.

They are also now SIP and H323 compatible for interoperability with other VOIP platforms on routers or larger PBX systems.
