Real-time trading from Prime

Prime Carrier, a provider of on-demand software products for the telecoms and media industries, has unveiled a set of individual modules that comprise what Prime claims is the industry’s first real-time trading platform to support the entire interconnect business process.

Their functionality covers a wide range of complex business functions including management of dial codes and rates, purchasing, sales, bilateral agreements, route optimisation, margin, traffic, quality and switch management, as well as real-time management information.

These Most products enable organisations to manage interconnect trading relationships more efficiently and more cheaply, according to Prime. Using real-time processing of traffic data to provide quality, cost and margin information enables the production of an ‘actual vs. forecast’ analysis. This provides the information necessary to reduce costs, improve margins and measure call and carrier quality through a range of metrics. Prime says its Most solution gives organisations total control of their business and allows them to trade safely and profitably.

Prime’s Most products are delivered over the Internet as on-demand applications, which overcome many of the barriers involved in deploying software solutions. Deploying on-demand computing gives companies a money-saving alternative to buying, building, and maintaining their own IT infrastructures.

Prime Carrier’s Most products are deployed with a number of carriers, including 3C plc, Bellsouth, Brasil Telecom, BT Ireland, Cable & Wireless, Colt, MCI Asia, Telecom Egypt, Telstra UK, and Vox Mundi Telecom.

Prime Carrier CEO Geoff Butcher commented: “The Most product suite . . . ensures that organisations have total control of their business, allowing them to scale with increased revenues and improved margins, but while trading safely with reduced overall risk.”
