SNAZ-E6 from Raidtec is a high performance Gigabit Ethernet file server that can simultaneously run Windows and Unix or Linux clients on a LAN.

The appliance is optimised for workgroup and departmental installations and is available with 480, 720 or 960Gbyte of storage capacity. It comes with Hot removable and Hot spare ATA drives; further expansion options are available through LVD SCSI or Fibre Channel SAN.

The SNAZ-E6 is supplied with 10/100 and Gigabit Ethernet LAN connections as standard and LVD SCSI for backup devices. It offers performance of more than 300Mbit/s sustained throughput.

The server runs on a single or dual 1GHz Pentium processor and has 32Mbyte Flash for Operating System, with up to 2Gbyte RAM. The hardware has one Gigabit Ethernet port, a 10/100Mbit Ethernet port, two serial ports (one dedicated to UPS), two LVD SCSI, optional dual hot swap PSU’s and 6 ATA drives, packaged in a 2U rack mount system.

The price of the box includes a server licence for FlashLinux, Raidtec’s embedded NAS Operating System. The software is fully upgradable via Web download and can be administered through a Browser. It can be installed in minutes and uses a simple point and click graphical user interface for setup.
