Prestigio has launched two new notebooks based on Intel’s energy efficient Centrino processor: the Nobile 156 and the Nobile 157. The Prestigio Nobile 156 Mobile PC offers a battery running time of up to five hours and a 15in screen. An on-board combo drive provides both CD-R/CD-RW read/write capabilities and DVD viewing. On top of that, the Prestigio Nobile 156 includes sockets for USB 2.0 and FireWire for fast data transfer.

There is also a built-in Flash card reader and wireless network compatibility. The Prestigio Nobile 157 notebook is designed as a gamer’s notebook, with impressive graphics capability. This model has been developed for Intel Pentium Mobile processors running at clock speeds of 1.5 and 1.7GHz.

The dedicated on-board 64Mbyte video memory is based on one of the most reliable 3D graphics accelerators — the Radeon 9600ATI Series. The 15in screen has a higher than usual resolution of 1400 by 1050 dots per inch, which is great for both office and graphic applications.

Both models offer a large touchpad and five application hotkeys. Like the 156, the Prestigio Nobile 157 offers a battery life of up to five hours.
