Strategic Wi-Fi
“For performance, we think 40Gbit speeds will increase significantly in data centre projects and large enterprise backbones” Matt Porter, Kedington Kedington : Matt Porter, managing dirtector
As many previously postponed network upgrade projects come back on stream, 2015 will see the demand for high level technical services in the networking sector continue to grow.

Wireless Demand Growth: The rate of adoption of wireless will increase significantly. The growth in the number of wireless clients accessing Wi-Fi networks will force upgrades in many first generation wireless networks. For an increasing number of organisations, we see Wi-Fi being viewed as a strategic part of the network when planning network upgrades and not just a “nice to have” add on. We believe that high speed Wi-Fi (Gigabit 802.11ac) will become the dominant base technology for new Wi-Fi deployments.

Performance: Openflow (SDN) will not be the decisive factor in choosing network infrastructure in 2015 but it will be appearing as a requirement in request for proposals especially in data centre RFP’s. For performance, we think 40Gbit speeds will increase significantly in data centre projects and large enterprise backbones.

Mobility: Catering for mobility of users and the associated network/computer security requirements will continue to extend into more medium sized organisations in 2015.

Growth of Intelligent Buildings: Although our industry has talking about the ‘Intelligent Building’ for over 20 years, it is now possible and recent innovations have enabled us to link systems like never before, yielding a great ‘carbon reduction story’ and a better working environment. We expect the next generation of building projects from 2015 to heavily embrace this new model, enabling a win-win for all involved, owner and occupier.

“Organisations gain immediate benefits by outsourcing the ICT function as it will deliver improvements to business applications, mobility, easier access to data and improved interactions with customers” Edel_Creely_Trilogy_2014_web Trilogy Technologies : Edel Creely, group managing director
Organisations of all sizes today are dealing with an explosive growth in data. Providing visibility and business intelligence into this data is placing increasing demands on traditional databases, cloud storage models and various technology systems. Together, these trends have created an increasing need for solutions that can effectively scale, secure and optimise data infrastructures. Organisations gain immediate benefits by outsourcing the ICT function as it will deliver improvements to business applications, mobility, easier access to data and improved interactions with customers.

Trilogy Technologies has developed an unrivalled managed and support system that meets all ICT challenges. Trilogy offers a solid, efficient and controlled platform powered by features far more advanced than any other and supported by a team of skilled, friendly and proactive people.
