Aimed at budget-conscious business users, Acer has launched the TravelMate 529ATX notebook PC. Powered by the fast Intel Pentium III 900MHz processor, the TravelMate 529ATX is designed with the small to medium-sized business user in mind.
Perfect for the mobile worker, it weighs just 2.99kg and features a modular bay to accommodate a 20x CD ROM or 6x DVD ROM drive. It also features a full-sized 14.1-in TFT screen and has a 2x AGP 3D graphics accelerator to deliver blazing fast graphics at 16.7 million colours. The Acer TravelMate 529ATX includes the full ECDL computer-training course on CD ROM and comes pre-installed with Windows 2000.
The notebook can also be connected to an office network a with built-in 10/100 Ethernet port and/or a 56k modem. It also includes a parallel port, a serial port, two USB port and an infrared (IrDA FIR) I/O port for wireless short distance data exchange. It retails for €2,299.
