As an additional incentive, Pastel is footing the bill to fly the Irish contingent for free to attend the event. Pastel plans to outline its new dealer package at the conference. The scheme will include discounts of up 60 per cent to on all products and commission on support renewals; bureau packages at single-user prices; the opportunity to sell directly to accountants with the supplier’s help. The vendor is also promising no hidden support charges and will pledge that it will not try and take a dealer’s customers for itself. Jeff Lewis, Pastel’s international sales director, has been lined up as guest speaker for the event. All Irish dealers who join the Pastel network on the day will receive a free copy of Pastel Accounting worth €960 for resale. The company claims that, when sold with support, this product offers a return equivalent to the price Pastel charges new dealers. This offer is in addition to the conventional membership free software pack provided for dealer use and worth almost €3,500.
