Dell is launching a new PC with an ‘ultra-small’ chassis. Called the Dell Optiplex SX260 offers a form factor that’s half the size of Dell’s standard Optiplex offering. Powered by a choice of either Pentium 4 processors with clock speeds of up to 2.8Ghz or budget Celeron processors with clock speeds of up to 2Ghz.

The SX260 offers integrated AGP graphics and sound, instead of add-on cards, built-in Ethernet networking and USB 2.0 slots for plug and play connections. This slim system which can be wall-mounted or can have a flat-panel screen attached to the side of it, is designed for IT managers who have limited space to work with, and want a no-frills PC that can be easily slotted into an office network. Prices have yet to be announced for this new model.
