Online selling without tears

Zippi Networks, the force behind revolutionising the eBay online selling process, has selected MobileFrame’s Configurable Mobile Application software platform to automate 250,000 Zippi Mobile franchisees.

Zippi has developed a solution enabling sellers to cash in on online sales without the hassle of actually selling the items on eBay themselves. Instead, Zippi send a representative to a seller’s home to manage all aspects of the sale.

The Zippi rep, armed with a Motorola MC35 mobile computer, simply enters a description of the items for sale, photographs them, posts and scans a barcode on each item, records voice notes containing additional information, selects the appropriate eBay category, and collect the seller’s signature.

MobileFrame’s wireless software allows Zippi to immediately post the items for sale on eBay. For these services, the seller pays what Zippi describes as “a small commission” from the proceeds of the sale.

Andrew Cahill, MD of MobileWorxs, the European sales and support partner for MobileFrame, told Irish Computer: “We hope Zippi’s adoption of MobileFrame will lead to other businesses being created in Ireland and elsewhere in Europe to support the increasing popularity of eBay and other online businesses.”

Cahill added: “MobileFrame’s software is flexible enough to suit any application, and we have already seen extensive interest from the exploding mobility sector.”

MobileFrame’s solutions are sold in Europe through its distribution partner, MobileWorxs.
