The system, which is used by six of the top ten accounting firms in Holland, and by over 40,000 companies throughout Europe, uses the latest web-based technology to provide users with an integrated, real time, standardised bookkeeping system which is easy to use and cost effective.

Twinfield claims that it also removes the high cost of accounting software as there are no software or hardware requirements.

It claims that the system allows users to create a central web-based platform which collates information from multiple sources and locations, and automatically updates the company’s accounting recordsIt is particularly effective for retail businesses with multiple outlets.  For example, online banking data and point of sale data from stores across the country can be fed into the central accounting system, giving head office a more immediate overview of the company’s financial information. According to Martin Langedijk, managing director, Twinfield Ireland, “A franchise or retail operation with multiple outlets, which switches to Twinfield, would typically see a reduction of 50% in their bookkeeping fees across the operation.”

Langedijk claims that the key to the system is automation, with the option to automatically upload information which otherwise would have to be manually entered.  The system offers unrivalled security with the convenience of real-time data allowing users, and their accountants, to monitor progress and benchmark so that trends and possible cost savings or overruns are identified and tackled as they arise. Because the company’s external auditors or accountants can securely access real time information remotely, it reduces the need for onsite visits and further reduces the costs to the business.
