New online quiz targets Irish school kids

After the nations dismal showing in The Digital Divide in Europe, a report by the EU statistics agency in which we ranked 24th out of 25 member states for use of the web in schools and colleges, comes a worthy effort to up our game. The ‘Graduate Online Youth Quiz,’ is a free on-line civics, social and political quiz for primary and secondary school children throughout Ireland that promotes online learning. To enter the quiz, students simply log on to www.graduate.ie and answer questions relating to the school curriculum and on the Arts, politics, environment, health and safety, etc. Links to relevant websites make it easy for students to correctly answer the questions. The Quiz operates on a weekly basis from September to May each year. So far, prizes to the value of EUR*23,500 have been won: It’s time for the youth of today to get out there and restore the nation’s pride.
