New Irish recruitment site goes online

A comprehensive database of prospective employees is now available for businesses online.

MyJob.ie is built around a database of jobs containing descriptions, salaries, skills and qualifications required for the job. Candidates can search the database for vacancies suiting their skills and companies can enter vacancies using their Web browser. Apart from storing CVs and vacancies, the site also keeps records of skills, skill sets, geographical areas, job types, ignore lists, companies and company representatives. This has benefits for both job-seekers and employers. Candidates can enter their complete skill set to find a job, and likewise with posted vacancies. Companies can also search the database for the best matching candidates, based on salary requirements, location and skills. The personal details or CV of a candidate will not be revealed unless they have directly applied for a job. If a company is interested in a candidate profile, they can convey this interest through MyJob, which then alerts the candidate by email.

When employers post vacancies, an automated alert is sent out to candidates with matching skills, interest in working in that geographical area and who fit the salary parameters. Employers can also set up automatic notification when a candidate with specific skills registers.

Businesses can set up a job placement account and pay a fee; nothing extra is charged if employers search the database, find a suitable candidate and hire a candidate that way. The service is also backed by Bond Personnel, an established recruitment agency.
