HP has announced the expansion of its consumer focused notebook range with a series of new aesthetically focused redesigned products. HP has made sensory appeal a priority with its new redesigned range, reflecting its MUSE (materials usability, sensory appeal and experiences) design philosophy, by integrating technology and high quality materials to create textured finishes and notebooks that overall are more appealing.
HP’s redesigned products include new versions of the HP Mini 210 and the HP Pavilion dv6 ad dv7 notebook PCs which has been launched in a new steel grey colour. The redesigned HP Mini 210 has enjoyed a facelift at the hands of HP as well as HP boasts it has a new “modern, streamlined aesthetic with a sleek upswept back” it is also available in a range of stylish colours including charcoal, luminous rose and ocean drive. The notebook betters its 110 predecessor on all counts with a new extended battery life offering 9.5 hours of computing and measuring less than 1” thick.
Keeping an eye on physical feel of HP products, HP has integrated its improved HP CoolSense technology into its new range. CoolsSense uses advanced hardware and intelligent software to reduce the temperature of the notebooks giving it an overall cooler handling experience. The technology has been implemented in the HP Pavilion dm4, dv6 metal and dv7 metal notebooks.
While engaging with the aesthetic, HP has also made prudent security focused alterations to its products. HP SimplePass with OTP aims to eliminate phishing fraud by providing unique “one-time” passwords that are linked to each individual user’s fingerprint. These one-time passwords are generated every 60 seconds and grant secure access to websites in particular that store financial information.
All products are expected to be available from June from HP’s online store.
