The Dazzle Digital Video Creator 90 is a palm-sized input device that allows a user to connect their video camera to their PC and work with video on the computer. DVC 90 captures high-quality, full-screen video and connects to any 1.6GHz or faster PC with a USB 2.0 port. Included with the hardware is Pinnacle Studio QuickStart, so it’s possible to create video projects with professional-looking effects, scene transitions and interactive menus. Studio QuickStart features one-button video cleaning and colour correction tools. Video projects can be saved as Video CDs, S-VCDs, DVDs or web video.
Studio MovieBox Deluxe connects any analogue or DV camera to a PC. Included with MovieBox Deluxe is Pinnacle Studio 9 and Hollywood FX Plus software. Pinnacle Studio 9 offers automatic editing capabilities, and easy-to-use tools for improving old or damaged video. Pinnacle Hollywood FX Plus expands on Studio 9’s library of tools, menus and effects with more than 300 high quality 3D rendered effects, audio effects and interactive DVD menus. HFX Plus also features effect control and expandable libraries.
The Pinnacle PCTV USB2 is an external device for watching and recording TV programs on a PC. The pack includes PCTV’s Vision PVR software, so users can pause, rewind, replay and fast-forward TV footage. PCTV USB2 is suitable for users who want to watch and record TV programmes on their PC, but who don’t want to install an internal card.
Dazzle DVC 90 (€90), Studio MovieBox Deluxe (€299) and PCTV USB2 (€99), work with the fast USB 2.0 interface, but are not backwards-compatible with USB 1.1 connectors. USB 2.0 provides up to 480Mbits/s of data throughput for the faster transfer of bandwidth-hungry audio and video.
