Although 3G hasn’t quite taken off in Ireland just yet, the phone manufacturers are unveiling handsets compatible with the new networks.

Motorola’s latest 3G handsets include the E1000, the company’ most advanced 3G handset to date. Small and lightweight, the E1000 can play mobile movies in MPEG4 format on the high resolution screen, play music through a built-in MP3 player and two-way video telephony. It also includes Push to Talk capabilities, a service that has yet to reach Irish shores.

An integrated 1.2Megapixel camera allows you to capture memories on the move, and Bluetooth technology means you can share the pictures with other Bluetooth-enabled devices.

The E1000 offers all its functions in a neat, stylish package, quelling any fears that 3G would mean return to the days of large handsets.
