Toshiba’s micro-portable projector, the TDP-P5, weighs only 1.1kg has a footprint of half an A4 piece of paper and is just 6cm tall.

The TDP-P5 uses DLP projection technology and native XGA resolution to produce a brightness of 1100 ANSI lumens, meaning it is bright enough to use in meeting rooms without having to block out any natural light. Unlike many projectors, the TDP-P5 is also extremely quiet, with an operating noise of just 32dB, enabling users to deliver presentations with ease.

The TDP-P5 is easily connected to a laptop with just one cable, which splits into two, with a USB and VGA connector. The cable allows the user flexibility to run presentations from the notebook or using the remote mouse. The remote control including a track ball mouse means presentations can easily be controlled from any location within the room, while the windows style menu makes fine-tuning the picture simple.

An inbuilt laser pointer also allows users to highlight things on the screen, so that presentations can even be delivered from the back of the room. The projector will instinctively recognise the input device and configure itself automatically.

Combined with Toshiba’s new Pocket PC e740, the projector makes up a mobile presentation system weighing only 1.3kg, suitable for the executive out on the road.

The TDP-P5 comes equipped with a Kensington security lock, which makes the projector immovable when desired. A three-year return to base warranty is also included free of charge.
