Mark Zuckerberg called the glasses a step towards what he calls ‘personal superintelligence’. He explained that these glasses allow you to stay present in the present moment while accessing AI capabilities that make you smarter, improve your communication, enhance your memory, support your senses, and so on.

Meta also announced the launch of Oak’s new eyewear, which will be available in early 2026.
Meta also announced the Oakley Meta Vanguard, intended for athletes. It costs $499. The glasses offer integration with fitness platforms such as Garmin and Strava, and have a battery life of about nine hours.

Further, the existing Ray-Ban line was updated: without a display, with a better camera and almost double the battery life compared to the previous version. The price for this is $379, more than the old version.

During the demonstration, there were some technical problems, including the failure to succeed in making a call through the glasses.

The price of the glasses starts at $799 and it will be available from 30 September in US shops. Canada, France, Italy and the UK will follow in early 2026.
