IT distributor Memory Bank has announced its continued expansion into the enterprise IT sector through a new distribution deal with APC.

Under the new distribution agreement, Memory Bank will distribute APC’s entire range of data centre infrastructure management (DCIM) products in Ireland. The deal represents a serious commitment to the Irish market by APC, whose parent group Schneider Electric was recently named by market analysts IDC as being a leader in the DCIM market globally. Analysts have predicted that the emerging DCIM software market will grow 500% by 2015. The deal will be worth in excess of €1 million over the next two years.

Elaine Ralph, MD of Memory Bank, said: "We chose APC because despite the constraints on budgets, the market demand for more efficient data centre management, scalable power and cooling solutions is strong. APC’s technology can meet these requirements by providing benefits such as lowered operating costs and higher manageability, reduced energy consumption and smaller carbon footprint."

David O’Connor, country manager, APC, said: "We have chosen Memory Bank to distribute APC technology in Ireland as we were looking for an independent Irish IT distribution partner with a well established network of enterprise solution providers. Memory Bank not only fulfills these criteria but has demonstrated that they have the technical, sales and marketing capabilities to effectively grow and support our Irish channel of resellers."
