A new online website has been launched to provide information on erectile dysfunction (ED) to men and their partners in a confidential setting.
Complemented by a free-phone helpline, the site discusses why ED occurs, who to talk to and how to choose the best treatment with your doctor’s help.
It also highlights that ED is a common sympton of other illnesses. One in ten Irish men will be affected by ED at some stage in their lives but only 10% of ED sufferers ever seek medical help and in many cases the man will have ED for years without getting medical advice.
In approximately 70% of cases ED has a physical cause. A free copy of ManMatters, an information booklet containing important information on ED, explaining its causes and offering useful advice for coping with the condition, can be downloaded from the website or ordered from the helpline.
