The impact of Microsoft Lync on organisations around the globe is now well known. As a collaboration tool, it simplifies and enhances how businesses work. While many products can claim to do that as well, the quality of what Lync offers is reflected in the fact that 90% of companies who make up the Fortune 100 are using it right now.

However to genuinely utilise all the capabilities that Lync has under the hood, businesses need to open up to the range of solutions available to support Lync deployment.

This is one of the core reasons that Videnda Distribution is organising our ‘No Missing Lync’ Seminar, which looks into Microsoft Lync, from infrastructure to peripherals, for Thursday, 5 June in the Red Cow Moran Hotel, Naas Road, Dublin 22.

Both resellers and end users are welcome to the event, with tailored content for both groups on show. A specialist trade only distributor, Videnda is Ireland’s leading distributor of unified communications hardware, and we offer a comprehensive, end to end range of solutions for Lync.

In addition to speakers from Microsoft itself at the Red Cow, we’ll have high profile speakers from companies such as Sangoma, Polycom, Spectralink, Sennheiser, Vaddio and Phoenix Audio among others.

One big element of the event is the launch of Sangoma in Ireland. A Canadian company who are industry leaders in IP telephony functionality and efficiency, they celebrate 30 years in business in 2014 and we’re delighted to be the company’s exclusive distributor in the Irish market.

They’ve recently launched a range of all-in-one solutions to cut Lync deployment times in half, all of which are certified by Microsoft. Elsewhere, Polycom is offering possibly the broadest portfolio of optimised devices for Microsoft Lync in terms of both video communications and phones.

In addition, Spectralink will bring attendees through both its Wi-Fi and digital enhanced cordless telecommunications‎ (DECT) phones, which again are certified for use with Lync.

Those attending on 5 June will also hear about Vaddio’s GroupSTATION plug in and play video room system, Sennheiser’s latest headsets as well as Phoenix Audio’s USB speakerphones with auto echo cancellation.

The event will be split into two sessions, one for trade resellers and the other dedicated to end users. In terms of resellers we expect to see Microsoft partners, services providers, IT telephony resellers, system administrators and more.

It’s important to note that registration costs are being covered, but places are limited, so we would encourage those thinking of attending the event to book early to avoid disappointment.

As a trade distributor, Videnda is a one-stop shop for all Lync infrastructure and peripheral needs and those in attendance at the Red Cow next month will see just why we, as well as 90% of the Fortune 100, have been convinced by the possibilities Lync offers.
