Still not convinced dropping the start button in Windows 8 was a good idea? That’s ok, Lenovo has heard you and wants to help. The world’s largest PC manufacturer has struck a partnership with the developers of third party start button application Pokki that will see it included in laptops and desktops.

Pokki works just like the start button already familiar to Windows users with the addition of its own desktop app store offering direct access to social networks, websites and games. It also has a Windows 8 button to take users to the operating system’s revamped user interface.

Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 update will feature a new version of the start button that acts as a shortcut to the new start screen, akin to the option presented in the charms bar.
